Who are Lapbaby Designs?

Established in 1999 by Jennifer Malisauskas and Kris Laptos. We are an Ottawa web design studio specializing in Joomla Content Management Solutions (CMS), web site design, website development, website re-design, web site database programming, eCommerce development and print design media.

Our studio consists of a talent visual designer (Jen) and a super skilled web programmer (Kris), whose 12 years of experience and professionalism are brought forth in each project they embark upon.

What's with your name? When they were pregnant with their first child, Jen was working at another web design firm. She wanted to create a personal website that showcased here work. So they brainstormed on what the domain name should be. So one day while looking down at her belly, Jen said 'i'm having a Lap Baby" (meaning Kris Laptos' baby) and it just stuck. They both know their first child was the inspiration to never go back to the corporate world and take a leap of faith to start out on their own. That was the making of Lapbaby Designs!
